Parts of Joe Louis Arena, home to the Detroit Red Wings for 38 seasons, are up for auction starting today.

According to Patch, the Joe's seats are up for auction to season ticket holders starting May 1 here. Season ticket holders even have the option of requesting their particular seats.

The auction opens to the public May 12. There is a two-seat minimum, starting at $150 each.

Other items like the official scoreboard, signs, furniture, lighting, and even the bar, will be up for sale this month at orbitbid.com and rlevyinc.com/sales.

Proceeds from the auction are going to the City of Detroit to offset the cost of maintaining the arena.
