On Sunday, we ended up at a high-rise Super Bowl party that never turned on the game. Ha ha!

The view of the Atlantic Ocean from up there was just amazing and most of us never even noticed that the game wasn't on until it was almost over; oops!

I think Tyler Coburn is the only one that actually went in search of a spot to watch the game. We had a wonderful day off together as a band.

There were multiple times that Mitch Arnold and I found ourselves in the corner of the room, eye to eye talking about all our new songs and the goals we have as musicians.

For those of you who don't know, Mitch and I started Wayland together, and one of our favorite things to do is to run into each other at a party. We love so many different types of music and come from very different musical backgrounds.

About once a month or so, we find ourselves in a slightly buzzed up conversation, catching up on each other's musical journeys.

We met a group of people, who may have been local to Daytona, Fla., I can't remember. They took us to a bar that just happened to have a grand piano in the corner. We all gathered around while Mitch played and sang a bunch of songs.

He started with "She Lights it Up;" moved on to some Jack White, Marc Cohen; and finished with a few songs we wrote last year that never got recorded. I forgot all about those songs! One of them is called "Paradise" that we played live a few times.

It was a very much needed day off to recharge.

Now, off to Texas!

We're planning some really cool stuff for spring, and we are so excited as it all is starting to come together. There's a lot of fun announcements coming soon!
