One Dead Following Overnight Shooting in Belding

UPDATE: Belding Police have identified the victim in this morning's shooting as Eric Harrington, 35

Police say the female shooter called 911 and stayed inside the home until authorities arrived. She was willingly taken into custody.

Fox 17 reports that the woman is being held for questioning and has not been charged at this time.

One person has died following an overnight shooting in Belding, Fox 17 reports.

Belding Police have a suspect in custody.

Reports of a shooting at a residence in the 1000 block of Oakwood Street in Belding were called in to police around around 5a.m. Wednesday morning.

Upon arrival police found one person dead from a gunshot wound. Another person at the home was taken into custody.

At this time, the circumstances of the shooting are not being released, nor the identities of those involved.
