Officer-Involved Shooting After Wyoming Credit Union Armed Robbery

UPDATE: Police have confirmed that the robbery suspect has died following an officer-involved shooting.

Wood TV8 reports that there is a large police presence at the Oxford Place Apartments near 44th Street and Breton Road SE in Grand Rapids following a robbery and an officer-involved shooting Monday morning.

The robbery occurred at ATL Federal Credit Union at 841 36th Street around 9:30a.m.

According to police, an officer-involved shooting happened after the robbery.

Police have confirmed that the Oxford Place apartment complex is the location of the shooting and that the robbery suspect is down.  Police say that the situation is "well-contained" and there is no threat to the public.
