Iron Maiden have a new album coming out September 4th, 'The Book of Souls', and I'm super excited for its release! They've been one of my favorite bands for a long time now. They songs, the vocals, the drumming, and of course, the guitar playing! How do you get tone like that?

Iron Maiden's guitarists have always had cool tone, but until recently, they've not really had signature guitars. A few years ago, Fender made a Dave Murray signature guitar, but it was ridiculously expensive. Now, they have a cheaper one, but it's still a lot of money. It's still $1,000.

Now, Seymour Duncan, the company responsible for Dave Murray's pickups, have made the Dave Murray loaded pickguard for a Strat. What's a loaded pickguard? It's a cool system that has all the electronics already wired up and ready to install on your guitar, so you don't have to do a bunch of soldering!

Yay, for no work! This is the best way to install stuff, next to having someone else do it for you!

The pickguard has the pickups in it that Dave Murray uses in all his Strats, a couple of Hot Rails, and a JB, Jr. These pickups will get you a lot of different tones from your Stratocaster, instead of the single-coil pickups it comes with.

This will be cheaper than buying a whole new guitar, and you can always swap them out for different sounds, with other cool loaded pickguards! They have a whole selection of them, including a classic set, antique, or a Yngwie Malmsteen set.
