Nikki Sixx Teases New Motley Crue Song, Gets Sentimental Over Rehearsals
The end is getting closer for Motley Crue, and it's starting to hit bassist Nikki Sixx. In a few recent Facebook postings, the rocker expressed his feelings as the band began rehearsals for 'The Final Tour.'
Last Friday (June 6), Sixx hopped online to share that the band had gathered together to prepare for the run. "Today was the 1st day of Motley Crue rehearsals for 'The Final Tour' … Gonna miss these knuckleheads when this is over," stated the bassist.
But the sentimental Sixx chose not to mourn the end of the proverbial touring road, but rather celebrate it in a separate post. He explained, "Don't be sad cause it's coming to an end. Be happy we came and f---ed things up for a few decades … Maybe there's a new Crue out there somewhere?"
In his most recent posting, Sixx offered some key intel concerning new music. "Been in band rehearsal with the guys," writes Sixx. "Lots of surprises … Worked up a new song we just wrote and recorded … Might bust that out live before we even go to radio with it."
And there's one other piece of Motley information to share. The 'Nashville Outlaws' country music tribute album that was initially announced for a July 8 release has been pushed back a bit. The disc, which features Motley Crue covers from Justin Moore, Rascal Flatts, Aaron Lewis and Brantley Gilbert among others, will now arrive on Aug. 19. So mark it on your calendars!
