Nickelback are one of the most polarizing bands in music today. People either love them or hate them. Almost 10,000 of the former packed Van Andel Arena last night (April 12) to see a larger-than-life rock show. The Canadian exports were happy to oblige. View our photo gallery from the concert below.

Nickelback pulled out all the stops during their set. Flames and fireworks burst behind them while they churned out songs from their decade plus career. Nickelback even transported themselves on a flying saucer-like contraption suspended from the ceiling and lowered themselves on the main floor.

Bush, Seether and My Darkest Days served as solid openers. I missed Bush when they came to The Orbit Room last October, so I was glad I could see their set last night. Frontman Gavin Rossdale can still bring it vocally on favorites like "Everything Zen", "Machinehead", "Come Down" and more. I felt like I was in middle school again when Rossdale went into "Glycerine".

New band My Darkest Days were kind enough to play a free Live Blitz at The B.O.B. before the show. The guys did a couple of acoustic songs and met with GRD listeners. A great time was had by all.
