Alice In Chains have finished a new album to be released in 2013. It is the second record with singer William DuVall and follows 2009's Black Gives Way To Blue. Guitarist Jerry Cantrell confirmed the album's completion in an interview with Guitar World.

“It’s like having to deal with the sophomore jinx for the second time in our career.” - Jerry Cantrell

William DuVall replaced Layne Staley, who died in 2002. Cantrell, bassist Mike Inez and drummer Sean Kinney round out the band. The new record is currently without a name but will be the band's fifth studio album.
