There were a lot of good games that came out of 2011, many will remember 2011 as one of the best years in gaming! Every year though, there is always going to be those few games that define the bad side of gaming. Amazingly in 2011, I didn't play any bad games....just kinda....eh games....not great but not bad either. Thus I bring the list of the "not so bad games of 2011."

    Duke Nukem Forever

I can't really count the days of how long I was excited for this game because damn....it was over 12 years! Either way, the game is pretty fun if you look at it from a 2006 stand point. People criticize and say how bad the game is, but really....it isn't that bad, but not great either. It's an old skool first person shooter....sorry you don't get extra XP for a head shot.

    Dead Island

When this game first came out, it blew everyone out of the water. When it comes down to it though, it is still glitchy and unfinished. It was a sleeper hit, that went quickly back to sleep. It still is fun though, only when you play it online. Otherwise, I couldn't stand playing this game alone. Even with the map, it quickly became the, "Where the hell do I go?" Type of game. Still a good game, but a game that will collect dust in the near future.

    Bulletstorm

I loved this game....yes...LOVED it when it came out. It had so much to offer and it was fun! But after I beat the game, I really had no want to go and get everything. I am sure there will be a Bulletstorm 2, and I will play it, but the first game quickly became forgetful....maybe the lack of multiplayer options...It kind of felt like cheap thrills to fill the gap before Gears of War 3 came out.

    Jurassic Park

Again with the cheap thrills thing...this is a game the pretty much defines cheap thrills. Not a bad game, but it's not a bad game for what it is. You really need to be a fan of Jurassic Park to like this game, otherwise, you will HATE the living hell out of it. The game is 90% quick time events and 10% puzzle solving. Yup, and INTERACTIVE MOVIE! Saving grace of the game? You go back to the original Jurassic Park....and that's about it. A fun play through, but defiantly not re-playable.

Majority of 2011 First Person Shooters

This could range from Brink, Rage, Dead Island, Red Faction: Armageddon, Call of Duty, etc. It's like game developers said, "Ok, make a crap ton of first person shooters." Not saying these games were made from the land of crap....but we have seen it all before. FPS is the thing right now...wonder what the next fad will be when it comes to gaming. Bring it on 2012!!!
