Mount Pleasant Moped Rider Arrested After Leading Police on Slow-Speed Chase that Ends with Crash on Railroad Tracks [Video]

A police dash cam caught a moped rider attempting to evade police on Wednesday night in Mount Pleasant.

According to 9 & 10 News, the chase started when the officer noticed the moped did not have proper registration and the man riding it was not seated properly. 

When the officer tried to stop the moped, the suspect took off.

After a short chase, the suspect crashed on railroad tracks and then ran away on foot. Police caught up with the man and arrested him on charges of running from police, resisting and obstructing and driving with a suspended license.
