Mike Babcock Thanks Red Wings Fans in Full-Page Ad in Detroit Free Press

Earlier this week, head coach Mike Babcock announced that he would not be be returning to the Detroit Red Wings next season.

Babcock took out a full-page ad in the Detroit Free Press to say goodbye and thank fans "for an amazing 10 years."

The ad shows Babcock with his family, hoisting up the Stanley Cup, with the message:

"Detroit Red Wings fans,

Thank you for an amazing 10 years!

We'll never forget the support you've provided us and will

always cherish the memories we've shared together in Hockeytown.

- The Babcocks"

 

Babcock has accepted $50-million deal to coach the Toronto Maple Leafs next season.
