Don't want to fight the crowds on Black Friday? Want a break after an early morning of shopping?

Enjoy free admission to Michigan state parks on Black Friday.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has announced they will waive entry fees to Michigan’s state parks on Black Friday, Nov. 25.

The waived fees cover entry into 103 state parks and recreation areas and 138 state forest rustic campgrounds. Camping and other permit and license fees still apply.

It's part of the #OptOutside movement which was started by REI in 2015 to encourage people to spend time outdoors on Black Friday.

All who participate are encouraged to share their experience on social media by using #OptOutside.
