Michigan Ranked 12th Most ‘Dog Happy’ State in U.S., According to Survey

While we love our pups every single day of the year, today, August 26, is a special holiday to celebrate all the great things dogs do for us and to promote adoption.

How much do we love our dogs in Michigan? A ton, according to a new survey! Milo's Kitchen dog treats found Michigan to be 12th dog-happiest state in America.

Milo's Kitchen surveyed 3,000 dog parents across the U.S. to determine in which states residents appreciate and spend the most time with their dogs.

They based the ranking on how regularly their residents specified they engaged in loving, supportive behaviors with their dogs (like playtime, petting, or giving a treat), and how they reported their emotional connection with their dogs.
