Michigan Girl with Inoperable Tumor Wishes for Cards for her Birthday

Lexys from Dearborn, Mich., started Kindergarten in September like any other five-year-old. Then she got news that changed her life.

Lexys was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma) an inoperable, cancerous brain tumor. She was given 9-12 months to live.

Fox 2-  Detroit shares that Lexys is now approaching the 8-month mark since her diagnosis, and she has a wish for her upcoming birthday in August.

Lexys sixth birthday is August 27 and she would like to have birthday cards sent to her.

The family writes on Lexys' GoFundMe page to help with her medical bills, that she loves to get her own mail.
