Metallica have revealed the news that they were teasing over the weekend. The metal icons announced this afternoon that they are curating a music and lifestyle festival this summer in New Jersey. The diverse lineup includes Modest Mouse, Avenged Sevenfold, Arctic Monkeys, Cage the Elephant and more.

The Orion Festival will take place June 23-24 at Bader Field in New Jersey. According to SPIN, Metallica will close both nights, playing 1991's historic Black Album one day and 1984's Ride the Lightning on the other. See the complete lineup so far below.

Weekend general admission tickets start at $125. Met Club members will have access to an exclusive presale February 8-10. More information regarding Orion can be found at OrionMusicAndMore.com.

The festival is named in honor of late Metallica bassist Cliff Burton, as "Orion" is the title of a instrumental song led by Burton on 1986's Master of Puppets. You can watch the replay of the announcement and interview below.
