A new grocery shopping option is opening soon on Grand Rapids' West Side!

Meijer's Bridge Street Market on the corner of Bridge and Seward was first announced last summer.

Store manager Ken Bair gave a sneak peek of the store on Facebook today, August 13.

He announced the store will officially open at 8a.m. August 29, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10a.m.

Bair says 60 team members have been helping to prepare the market for its grand opening.

Aside from food, the store will have a Mayan Buzz Café coffee shop, a beer, wine and liquor counter and basic cleaning, health and beauty care products, WZZM-13 reports.

In the comments on the Facebook Video, Bridge Street Market shared,

We will have a wide variety of locally cut and packaged meats, sealed fresh and delivered daily from Muskegon. In addition, we’ll offer lots of convenient fresh and fast options like pre-marinated chicken, kabobs, etc. As far as seafood goes, we will have a variety of fresh, local seafood as well as locally produced seafood products – like herb marinated salmon and seafood dips. We also will have a large variety of frozen seafood available."
