This morning, Lowe's announced they are closing 51 underperforming stores in North America, including 20 in the U.S. and two in Michigan.

Lowe's says most employees at the 20 stores closing in the U.S. "will be extended opportunities to transition to a similar role at a nearby Lowe’s store. The majority of impacted stores are located within 10 miles of another Lowe’s store."

Lowe’s expects the stores to be closed by Feb. 1, 2019. Most stores will have store closing sales, but "select stores" in the U.S. will close immediately.

The stores closing in Michigan:

  • Burton - Store 761
    4274 E Court St.
  • Flint - Store 669
    2100 T.A. Mansour Blvd.
