Before a band get’s big, they have to start off as a local band. Listeners today are getting “too used” to hearing the top hits on the radio. As a band, you need to start somewhere, and radio station’s don’t look at local metal enough. WGRD is putting an end to that! For this week’s LOCAL METAL MOMENT, we are checking out Through The Ashes!

Formed in 2008 and current lineup in 2010, Through The Ashes has grown to become one of Michigan's biggest underground metal acts.  The road has been their friend hitting over 85 dates in 2012 and sharing the stage with bands such as The Devil Wears Prada, Attack Attack!, Texas in July, Sevendust, Saliva, Spineshank, Taproot, Fuel, and others.  Their debut album "End of Days" is available on Amazon, iTunes, and Google Play!

After listening to these guys for a bit, I was insanely impressed. These guys have what it takes. Just listen to the tracks below and try to disagree with me, I'm sure you won't. The drummer in this band is intoxicating to listen too (that's a good thing by the way) among the massive amount of talent these guys have. No wonder they are opening for all of these national touring acts, they have a damn good sound. Listen now!
