Today, 28 golfers will participate in a golf marathon to raise funds on behalf of the
student participants for The First Tee of West Michigan (TFTWM).

Over 2,000 holes of golf are expected to be played at Stormy Creek Golf Course, as golfers play through from 7 a.m. until dark. Some golfers anticipate playing 200 holes of golf!

TFTWM is a non-profit organization that focuses on impacting the lives of young
people by building character through the game of golf. More than 50% of the 726
students in 2016 were on scholarship. Monies raised from this event will go directly
to student scholarships.

Students who participate in The First Tee’s programs are playing in the marathon
after their school day, attempting to reach their own goals for holes played.

A leaderboard and pictures will continuously be updated throughout the day on The First Tee's Facebook page. TFTWM anticipates raising over $65,000 through their efforts, and marathoners will play as many holes as they are physically capable.
