Deftones sure know how to keep fans excited for their new album, Koi No Yokan. The California metal heads have unleashed the official lead single from the record, entitled "Tempest," which you can listen to below.

"Tempest" starts off calmer than "Leathers," the previous track to be leaked from Koi No Yokan. However, it doesn't take long before Deftones ramp up the intensity. That's the beautiful thing about this band. They can produce such an aggressive yet melodic tone that no other act can duplicate. You know you are listening to a Deftones song, especially when vocalist Chino Moreno hits the mic.

"I’d like to be taken / Apart from the inside / Then spit through the cycle right to the end," Moreno seethes. "Tempest" is a roller coaster full of adrenaline rush moments with a few reserved sections to let listeners catch their breath. Koi No Yokan drops in stores on November 13. They will kick off a North American tour October 9 in Ventura, Calif., and will stop by the Royal Oak Music Theatre on October 24. See their full itinerary on the band's official Facebook page. Listen to "Tempest" below and tell us what you think.
