Kurt Cobain’s ex-girlfriend Mary Lou Lord has opened up for the first time ever about a more than 20-year-old feud with the late Nirvana leader’s former wife Courtney Love.

In two extensive Facebook posts, Lord, who dated Cobain in Seattle prior to his relationship with Love, tears into the Hole singer, accusing her of defamation and slander in the press that took place shortly after Cobain’s death in 1994. It’s fairly abstracted, as Lord doesn’t speak in very many specifics, but she goes so far as to call Love “money hungry,” “fame mongering” and a “sociopath” (among other profanities).

“I just sat, silentely, and watched her lie about me (and everything and everyone else),” Lord writes. “She built her world, and manipulated other people's lives by being the best LIAR and best actress in the world. Something that twisted and f---ed with a lot of good people.”

Lord says she has remained silent for so long out of fear of Love’s influence and as a means to protect Love and Cobain’s daughter, Frances Bean, and her own child. Now, however, Lord says she’s coming forward in light of recent Cobain documentaries Montage of Heck and Soaked in Bleach. Lord claims Love told lies concerning herself and Cobain:

That was one of the other incredibly disturbing aspects of Courtney's lies. How it was also a total defamation of Kurt's character within the context of her lie, and her wording. Printed in Rolling Stone, just weeks after he had died, when SHE was on the cover. And of course, Hole's Live Through This, was #1. And, for weeks after this, it was HER not ME who was bringing attention to any involvement I might have had with him. I felt like a dork. I NEVER brought it up in interviews. It was her who planted any of the f---ed up attention it got to begin with. I just wanted to hide and cry.
