Here's some exciting news for Killswitch Engage fans. According to vocalist Jesse Leach, the members of Killswitch have made plans to get together in February to begin putting together the band's seventh full-length album. Leach also hopes to finish the record come summertime.

After a decade away from Killswitch, Jesse Leach returned in 2012 for a run of tour dates and a new album, 'Disarm the Descent,' which was released in 2013. The reaction to Leach's comeback was strong from the very beginning, as fans welcomed the singer back into the fold despite the undeniable talent of departed vocalist Howard Jones, who helped bring Killswitch to new levels of popularity.

"We're getting together mid-February to show each other our own demos and talk about it," Leach tells the Rabid Noise podcast. "But, in the meantime, we'll have a song come out in April, which is part of the 'Game of Thrones' TV series. We wrote a song for them and we're all pretty proud of it, man. So they're gonna drop that, and we actually might start playing it live. We're all pretty stoked on that. So maybe have the album done by summer, hopefully, and then start hitting some of the festivals and stuff like that. We'll see what happens."

Leach also reveals that he's been offered a deal to publish an autobiography. "I have an offer. I have a publisher who wants to put out a book," Leach says. "And I've been back-and-forth with them. I definitely have a story to tell. But I'm just wondering when's a good time to do it, and if I have the confidence and the time to write it. But the offer is definitely on the table right now. So I'm just sorting out whether or not I have the wherewithal to jump on it."

Jesse Leach is a busy man. The vocalist is set to perform his first ever spoken word show on Jan. 21 in Australia. He'll also be spinning records down under for a short tour of DJ gigs later this month.
