The hard part is over. Killswitch Engage have reunited with frontman Jesse Leach, written and released a well-received album called 'Disarm the Descent' and they've toured around the world in support of the disc. So where does that leave Killswitch Engage now? According to Leach, the band is starting to look ahead to their next album.

Leach tells Brazil's Wikimetal, "After this South American run, we're gonna take some time off and start demoing and start writing. We're actually really looking forward to getting some new material out. So, hopefully, by the end of this year, we'll have some material ready to go. We'll see what happens, but we're definitely stoked on it."

The vocalist also addressed his return to the band and the reception he's received from Killswitch fans, adding, "It's been mind-blowing. It's incredible … It's been crazy too cause my life has changed. I've seen the world and been able to play in front of thousands of people and I get to do what I love and make a living doing it so I feel very blessed."

Even with plans to start writing and recording for their next album, Killswitch Engage still have a handful of dates on their fall tour schedule. The band will play a mini-trek of sorts in late October and early November, with the biggest show during the run being their appearance at Slipknot's Knotfest in San Bernardino, Calif.
