The Pfizer vaccine has been fully approved and are all set to now vaccinate kids starting at the age of 12 to 15.

Now they are not leaving out 16-year-old kids, they were already approved to get vaccinated.

Kids 12 to 15 being able to get vaccinated is fantastic news because this should lift a weight off of their shoulders and really allow them to get back to some sort of normalcy.

Yes us adults have went through something in the past year, but to be honest, it is the kids I worry about most, from little ones all the way to seniors in high school, because some many firsts and traditions went away for many of them in the past year.

According to WOOD, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Dr. Joneigh Khaldun said, "these vaccines are the path forward to doing the things that we love with the people that we love."

When Pfizer did the testing trials with over 2,000 kids, the vaccine was 100% effective with side effects or problems. That is something that is not always the case with vaccine test results so it was a no brainer to get this out to kids as quickly as possible.

According to doctors who have studied the vaccines, they say the protect the kids from getting the virus but also protect from the threat of a rare complication called MIS-C that can be deadly or even have long term problems.

You can make appointments now for kids 12 and up and CVS Health, Rite Aid and Walgreens.

Spectrum Health will take walk-ins for kids 12-15 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday at the clinic on 60th Street at Patterson Avenue.
