Rock star, potential politician and now .... restauranteur. Kid Rock has always expressed his love for his home base of Detroit and he's ready to put his stamp on the city's brand new Little Caesars Arena by opening a new restaurant as part of the complex.

Made In Detroit will be a 5,800 square foot establishment that can host 230 people. In addition to being a restaurant, the plan is for the venue to also be able to showcase Detroit-area musicians.

According to the Detroit Free Press, the restaurant will serve "classic Detroit and Southern-influenced dishes" as well as "local beers and craft cocktails." While the eatery is titled Made in Detroit, Rock will also have plenty of his own memorabilia on display for those interested. As the establishment is part of the Little Caesars Arena complex, the rear portion will include an entryway into the arena for those attending concerts and games.

Kid Rock has been tapped open the new arena with six shows starting on Sept. 12. The arena itself will also play host to the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons during their upcoming and future seasons.

It's been a big year for Kid Rock that looks to only be ramping up for the remainder of 2017. The singer released the new songs "The Greatest Show on Earth" and "Po-Dunk" back in July ahead of what is expected to be an album release this fall. In addition, a "Kid Rock for Senate" website has been launched, and while Rock has yet to officially file for a Senate run in Michigan, plenty of attention has been given to the possibility. He has discussed plans to encourage voter registration by launching a non-profit organization.
