Kate Upton and Justin Verlander are Engaged [Video]

I feel like I'm seeing equally sad Facebook posts from males and females mourning that Kate Upton and Justin Verlander are both off the market.

The St. Joseph, Mich. native showed off her engagement ring from the Detroit Tigers pitcher on the red carpet at the Met Gala last night.

Upton's rep later confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the couple, who've been dating for three years, have been engaged for about two months, but haven't set a date yet.

The model and actress told E! News:

"I'm really excited, he asked me right before season started so we've been keeping it on the down low for quite a while. So I'm excited to finally be able to share it with the world!"

As for the giant rock, Verlander designed the engagement ring himself.
