Kalamazoo Fire Leaves One Person Arrested for Arson
A fire in Kalamazoo just after 9 p.m. Sunday night started at a home in the 800 block of Myers Street near Vine Street in the cities Edison neighborhood.
According to WOOD TV, firefighters spotted smoke and fire coming from the house. Fire crews were able to contain the fire in less than an hour.
Paramedics had to treat one resident for smoke inhalation at the scene. No other people were in the house at the time of the fire.
The Fire Marshal's Office investigating the incident says a suspect was arrested for an arson. No reason for the arson has been given at this time.
