Judas Priest are soon to come back extremely strong with 'Redeemer of Souls' on July 15, but right now, iconic vocalist Rob Halford is focusing on his health. The Metal God will soon undergo surgery to take care of an umbilical hernia that looks like "the alien just burst forth!"

Halford went under the blade last year to repair serious back issues. That having been taken care of, the soaring singer will endure yet another surgery, although we're happy to hear that Halford's current ailment is not causing him any serious pain.

Regarding his condition, the Metal God remains in good spirits. He tells ABC News Radio, "My doctors always said, 'We can take care of it,' and I said, 'I'll get around to it.' [The doctor said,] 'If it's not giving you any discomfort then you should leave it as it is, but it's not very appealing to look at, is it?"

"That's life," Halford continues. "The wonderful thing about heavy metal music is that it's immortal. The music is immortal, but the creators are not bestowed with that attribute."

Stay healthy, Rob! The new Judas Priest album 'Redeemer of Souls' will be out July 15. We were able to get an early listen to the disc and believe us when we say, PICK IT UP!
