Megadeth has finished the recording of their new album, their 15th, and we're just waiting for the album to be mixed, mastered, and ready for release. After hearing a little bit on their PledgeMusic page, I'm really excited for the new album! It features their new guitarist, Kiko Loureiro, and also Chris Adler from Lamb of God on drums!

As part of my excitement, I've grabbed a video from my trip to Las Vegas in 2013 to see Iron Maiden and Megadeth at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. It's Megadeth playing "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying", and is the first time I've heard them play it in a lower tuning.

I noticed that things sounded weird after a few songs, and realized they'd downtuned, and were playing everything in D, instead of standard tuning, or even a half-step down. It sounded weird to me, but still good. I understand that Dave has been doing this for a long time, and singing pitched down makes doing a whole tour easier. Tons of bands do it.

It was just weird to hear. Check out what I'm talking about in the video above, and enjoy. It still sounds good.
