In Part One of my The Dopey Challenge saga, I shared about my trip to Florida, recovering from strep throat and running (too fast) in the 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) run last Thursday.

Well, much happened after that 5K.

Friday came and my group of AT-Children's Project running pals awoke at 3 a.m. and drove from our rental house out to EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.

I decided since I was at Disney to make it Disney-ish.

I wore princess garb for the 10-kilometer (6.2-mile) run. This was in advance of having a half-marathon (13.1 miles) and a marathon (26.2 miles) over the weekend.

I was super tired Thursday because unlike my WGRD friends with "The Free Beer & Hot Wings Morning Show," I don't typically wake at 3 a.m.

Plus, it was very hot outside.

Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining. It was below zero in Michigan, so being in Florida was awesome.

However, it was tad difficult to run though. I honestly think I was drunk on sleepiness, if that is a thing.

I met some crazy-looking characters and again ran too fast.

Again, I completed the 10K and ran too fast. At that point, I was still recovering from strep throat. I completed the 5K in about 20 minutes, 50 seconds and the 10K in about 45 minutes.

Please. Don't think these blog posts are all about sunshine and roses and me running too fast, because they are not.

Stay tuned for The Dopey Challenge saga's Part 3, where I really fall apart in the half-marathon. I mean I fell apart, but that's for the next installment.
