Kids used to hearing the familiar jingles of their local ice cream truck may be in for a surprise.  Jack White has revealed a mobile version of his Third Man Record Store that will make its first appearance at SXSW next week.

Following the breakup of The White Stripes, Jack White has kept himself busy.  Spinner reports that The Third Man Rolling Record Store will include a mic and two turntables for DJs to spin records, a sound system for bands to plug in and play outside, and tons of merch that you can't buy anywhere else.  The items for sale include limited-edition Third Man vinyl releases, Rolling Record Store t-shirts, tote bags and drinking accessories.

The Third Man Rolling Record Store will make its debut at the SXSW festival in Austin, TX March 16-20.  Surprise guest DJ's and bands are expected to stop by the shop.  I happen to be going there so hopefully I can give you a full report on WGRD.com and maybe pick up some cool swag.

Watch the video below to see what the yellow truck of musical goodness is all about.  I don't know about you, but I kind of expected the Rolling Record Store to blow up while Jack White was walking away.  The clip claims that 97% of high school aged kids have never been to a independent record store.  That percentage seems a little high, but I won't question it.  It would be pretty cool if the truck hit the road during the week of Record Store Day, but that seems highly unlikely.

Like the idea of the Third Man Rolling Record Store?  I'll tell you this; I'd have a hard time deciding what to buy if both the Rolling Record Store and an ice cream truck were in front of me.  Drumstick cone or a rare vinyl record?  The world may never know.
