Since “The Negative One” came out, people have been speculating on who the new drummer for Slipknot is.  Some people think it’s still Joey Jordison, since the drum sound is similar.  But more and more people are commenting on the style being that of Chris Adler, the drummer for Lamb of God!

A lot of people.

So many, that Chris has responded to the questions with the most, “I am the drummer” response possible, without actually saying that he’s the drummer.

Right now I think silence is golden,” he said. “Right now I don’t think those guys need me, or need me talking about it.
[But] for the moment, I don’t know anything about it.
You know, I listened to it and I thought it sounded a little bit like me, too,” he admitted. “At the moment, I just don’t recall doing it.

“I don’t recall doing it.”  He’s either the worst liar on the freaking planet, or so heavily medicated that he loses entire weeks of time.  Can you imagine, waking up one day, and people saying, “Hey man, great job on that Slipknot album, your drumming is fantastic” and having NO IDEA what they’re talking about?

Even worse, imagine waking up to see video footage of you recording the drums for an album you don’t even remember doing?

Those are some freaking DRUGS!

On the upside, you can feel comfortable playing poker with him, knowing he’ll never be able to bluff you!

But now he can honestly say he never told anyone he did the Slipknot drumming, in case it comes out that he is the new drummer.

What do you think?  Is he the new drummer?
