Intruder Scales White House Fence, Makes It On To South Lawn Before Being Arrested

Late on Friday night, a man scaled the fence outside of the White House and made his way on to the south lawn before being arrested.  Little else is known about the individual or his motives at this time.  According to officials, the man was carrying a backpack which was searched and found to contain nothing hazardous.

The President was in the White House at the time, but it was deemed that the intruder did not pose any threat once arrested.
