Illegal Speed Limits Could Set Free a Drunk Driving Criminal – FBHW Segment 16

Today on Segment 16, the guys check in on a story that's almost too crazy to believe. Because local speed limits in Michigan have been set illegally in a lot of places, the screw up could set free a drunk driver who was arrested carrying an illegal weapon!

Not even kidding.

The guys have been following the stories from WZZM for a year now, where local speed limits are not set following the laws paid out by the state, and aren't able to stand up in court.

Now, a guy who was stopped for speeding and arrested for drunk driving, and possession of an illegal weapon could walk free. The area where he was stopped was illegally set as a 25mph zone, when it should have been 45. The guy would have been going the speed limit if the street had been set correctly, so this technicality could let him walk.

This reinforces the belief that local authorities need to get their s*** together, and reset all these speed limits, to at least try to prevent this kind of BS from happening again.
