The other day, I saw a Facebook post that showed a photo of a giant sushi roll, and it said "the sushi burrito is a thing that exists". I immediately shared it with Christine here at work, since she'd been complaining all week that she needed sushi really bad. She freaked out and demanded that we go.

Best decision ever!

Luckily, our Events Queen Angela searched for sushi burrito in Grand Rapids, and found a place that makes them! It's called Jaku (formerly Haru), and they claim not only to make them, but that they serve the best sushi in town! That's a mighty big boast.

We headed over to this little place, which is sandwiched in between a Qdoba and a Panera Bread on Marketplace in Caledonia...the same parking lot as the Applebee's and Logan's Roadhouse.

It's not a big place, but they have several different sushi burritos, and one of them contains one of my favorite things: Bulgogi! So of course I ordered the Bulgogi burrito and some sushi rolls.

This sushi place could actually be the best sushi place in the area! It's all so good, and the burrito is amazing! The staff are all really nice, the food is fantastic, and it being Christine's birthday week, they brought her some green tea and mango ice cream with a little candle, which is pretty cool.

If you love sushi and you've never had a sushi burrito, you have to try one! It's bigger than a sushi roll, and there are some different flavors than you'd normally get on a regular roll. Trust Americans to take someone's food and make it even more amazing by making it bigger than anyone ever dared it could be.

This is a big win for our side...the sushi burrito! It's kind of life changing.
