When Halestorm released their debut album in 2009, I was hosting a morning show at a rock station in Atlanta, Georgia.  The band came to town and I was asked to introduce them on stage at a venue called The Tabernacle.

I wasn't very familiar with their music so I listened to the album a few times.  One exact part stood out to me.  I played it over and over and over again.  The part I'm talking about is in the song "Innocence" and it still blows me away.

I had a chance to spend a few minutes backstage talking to singer Lzzy Hale.  I told her about how awesome I thought that one specific part of the song "Innocence" was and asked that she include it in that night's set.  She thanked me but said they weren't gonna play it that night.  I don't know why.  What she doesn't know is that when she turned around to talk to someone from her crew, I took a nice long sniff of her hair.  I held her scent in like a bong rip.  Nothing wrong with it.  Don't judge me.  You'd do the same thing if given the opportunity.

Halestorm is playing The Intersection on Saturday night.  I hope Lzzy sees this and the band puts the song in their setlist.

The exact moment that Halestorm won me over is at the 2:10 mark of this video but I think it's better if you start from the beginning and enjoy the build up.  Her range is undeniable here.  - Shaffee
