Do you have any tatts you are having second thoughts about, but you're not sure how the laser removal thing works?

Check out this cool video where the Smarter Every Day guy checks out the science behind tattoo removal, how it works, and shows you laser removal in slow motion!  How freaking cool is that!

The moment you get inked, your body sees it as foreign material in your body and tries to kill it.  Unfortunately, the white blood cells are too small to grab the bigger ink pieces, so they can only haul away the little ones.  This is why your tattoo fades and blurs over time, as the white blood cells eat away at the tatt, slowly but surely.

Apparently, with laser tatt removal, the laser doesn't actually remove the tattoo.  What it does is break up the larger ink particles, so that your white blood cells can grab them and drag them away, taking them to your liver for processing.

Yes, that means you will eventually poop out your tattoo, once you have it removed.
