Soon Kalamazoo will know the delicious joy that is "crack fries".

BarFly Ventures LLC has announced plans to open a HopCat downtown Kalamazoo this fall, Wood TV 8 reports.

Since opening in downtown Grand Rapids in 2008, HopCat has expanded to nine locations.

This past fall, they announced an expansion of 30 more HopCats. At the time, specific locations were not mentioned, but that BarFly was eyeing Midwest college towns.

HopCat- Kalamazoo will have 100 beers on tap and will be their 11th location overall, and their 5th in Michigan. Earlier this month, HopCat announced a new Chicago location.

HopCat Kalamazoo will be in the Depot building on Michigan Avenue within walking distance of Bell's Brewery, Arcadia Brewing Co., and other downtown bars and restaurants.

According to Wood TV 8, Mark Sellers, founder of HopCat and CEO of BarFly Ventures said,

“Kalamazoo is one of the best cities in America for craft beer thanks to the legendary Larry Bell and the entrepreneurial spirit of the city’s brewing community. Bringing HopCat to the Depot will help further establish downtown Kalamazoo as a Midwest hub for craft beer lovers while creating a unique dining destination for people in the Kalamazoo area.”
