Dogs have been getting a lot of attention so far in 2015, riding busses by themselves and dressing up as Batman and whatnot.

Cats be like: "Oh really, dogs? Did you save a baby?"

Well, Masha, a long-haired tabby cat braving the streets of Russia did. She saved an abandoned baby from freezing to death with the warmth of her little, furry body.

According to The New York Post Masha stumbled across a tiny baby boy, left in a cardboard box on the streets of Obninsk, Russia and climbed in to warm and protect him.

The cat also meowed to get the attention of people passing by.

Irna Lavora, a nearby resident who found Masha and the baby said, "She is very placid and friendly, so when I heard her meowing, I thought that perhaps she had injured herself. Normally she would have come and said hello to me. You can imagine my shock when I saw her lying in a box next to a baby.”

“Clearly her mothering instincts had taken over and she wanted to protect the child,” Lavrova added. “He was well-dressed with a little hat, and whoever left him here had even left a few nappies and some baby food.”

“The baby had only been outside for a few hours and thanks to Masha … he was not damaged by the experience,” a hospital spokesman said.

The baby was declared completely healthy and Masha is being taken care of by the people in her town.

Your move, dogs.
