Red Lion, PA rockers and GRD favorite Halestorm were in town Wednesday night at the DeltaPlex for the Avalanche Tour. The band was kind enough to chat with me about various topics, including karaoke, and played a couple of acoustic songs for our GRD Live Blitz.

Halestorm have been touring almost non-stop for the last couple of years in support of their debut album. I asked them what was the status on the new disc.

"We already recorded two songs for the new record," said frontwoman Lzzy Hale. "Right after this tour we go back to the studio, quickly record the rest of it, and then right back out on the road."

"So we're multi-tasking at the moment," laughed Lzzy.

We also talked about Halestorm's latest covers EP ReAnimate, which includes a version of Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" that fans voted on, their stint at a real karaoke bar in Japan, and touring with the late Ronnie James Dio. Watch the full interview below.

I must say, I was a little nervous standing next to Lzzy. Thankfully I didn't act too stupid. All kidding aside, I love this band and I'm proud of everything they've accomplished so far. I have a feeling Halestorm will be around for a really long time.
