Add Grand Valley State University to the millions of those embracing Pokémon GO around the world.

GVSU is hosting a Poképarty on Tuesday, July 19.

Large gatherings of Pokémon GO players have become common in Grand Rapids and across West Michigan. GVSU students have already been playing on campus, but now they will have an even bigger opportunity.

GVSU students are being invited to attend a Poképarty on Tuesday from 11AM - 3PM around the Cook Carillon Tower on the Allendale Campus.

The event will provide students with ice cream, a phone charging station, maps of gyms and Poké stops on campus, and an open space for students and their Pokémon to battle each other at the carillon tower — one of the most popular gyms at Grand Valley.
