GRPD Working on Second Barricade Situation of the Day

UPDATE: The suspect has been taken into custody.

Grand Rapids police officers are working to get a suspect out of a building in the 800 block of 5th Street NW on the city's Northwest side.

WZZM-13 reports that it is unclear of the person they are trying to get to come out is armed.

Police are asking the public to avoid the area.

This is the second barricade situation of the day for the GRPD. Tuesday morning, a man was arrested after barricading himself in a home for nearly five hours.
