Police are searching for a person believed to have fired a gun outside of Van Andel Arena downtown Grand Rapids Friday afternoon, M-Live reports.

Shortly before 4p.m. police were called to the arena on a report of a large fight, with at least one shot fired.

No injuries were reported; it appears no one was struck by the gunfire.

A witness told M-Live, the fight took place in the alley next to the arena, and involved two groups "screaming and pushing".

Police are reviewing surveillance footage to identify suspects who fled the scene.

UPDATE: According to WZZM-13, police found a bullet casing on the ground east of the Van Andel Arena; it is believed the shot was fired from a starter pistol.
