Hello Grand Rapids!

Today's Topic of the day is how I got into bikini, and lingerie modeling! Being from a small town in the US is one thing, but I am from one of the smallest towns in one of the smallest countries in the world! Taking a step away from high fashion and expanding my work to also do swimwear and lingerie modelling is something I had sworn against doing at the start of my modelling career.

However, with a love for the pageantry industry, it was difficult to escape the swimwear round, particularly as I always wanted to go international. So when I first had a swimwear round in a pageant at age 18, I was the fussiest person in the universe when it came to finding the bikini that hid the million flaws that I felt everyone else notices, it felt so strange wearing a bikini with high heels! However it was a small crowd, and it wasn’t near as daunting as I thought it would be.

I learned quickly that I was perfectly fine with my body and liked the image I portrayed. Quickly photos surfaced of me in a swimsuit that were all but flattering. I was mercilessly bullied on the internet by people who were too cowardice to even leave their name.

As Miss Ireland Galaxy I intend to be a role model for young girls – I eat right, I love food, I go to the gym, I don’t starve myself or deprive myself of any nutrients so I can fit into a dress and please complete strangers on the internet who feel it necessary to inform me that I look “uncomfortable” in a bikini.

Do I look Uncomfortable to you? Below is my shoot I did TWO MONTHS after the unflattering photos were released... in THE SAME bikini:

Being from a very small country things I do with my pageant title do not go unnoticed. Tabloids publish things, and awful people will talk! As Audrey Hepburn puts it – “I don’t care what you think about me. I don’t think about you at all”.

Since my experience at age 18 I have modeled NUMEROUS swimsuit and lingerie photos! Here are just a few from my portfolio!
