It was a hell of a Rocktagon battle over the weekend, but Asking Alexandria prevailed yet again as champions. The English metal band defeated Avenged Sevenfold's "This Means War" by a small margin. Asking Alexandria will now face Alter Bridge in tonight's Rocktagon contest.

It was just announced that Asking Alexandria will support Korn October 1 at The Fillmore Detroit. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday (August 28) at LiveNation.com.

Alter Bridge are ready to drop their fourth studio album, Fortress, on October 8. Guitarist Mark Tremonti told Billboard that he feels like Alter Bridge haven't cemented their legacy yet and have so much more to prove.

"When I was growing up and I'd see a band's fourth album, I'd feel like, 'Wow, they're at the end of their career. I'll be lucky to have four albums in my entire career," Tremonti explains. "I guess since I'm older now I just feel like we're always trying to improve ourselves and trying to build upon what we've done in our past and make each record better."
