Red Sun Rising is a cool band who've played a few shows in the past year here in West Michigan.

WGRD debuted their new song "Emotionless" on the Liquid Lunch this week!

We asked GRD listeners their opinions on the new song. What do you think of "Emotionless"? Check it out and vote below!

Emotionless comes from the Red Sun Rising's album Polyester Zeal, out in August 2015. Frontman Mike Protich talked about the new album with The Prelude Press:

"We don't want to reinvent the wheel but we want to bring 'rock' music back into the spotlight. Somewhere along the way what, at least this country, considers rock seems formulated and stale. I realize we aren't doing anything off the wall but we do however focus more on the organic nature of a song and it's melodies. Another accomplishment would be to make someone, anyone, feel something when they hear our music. This is how art should be."

Before an August 2015 show at the Intersection with Pop Evil, Red Sun Rising Stopped by GRD to talk about some of the band's influences,

Yeah, Alice in Chains- you can obviously hear a little bit of that coming out in “The Otherside”, that’s definitely a tip of the hat to them- a lot of bands from that era: Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, a Perfect Circle. But even the Beatles and Otis Redding too- we try to take a little bit from every era.”
