Band Name
The Hex Bombs

Who are all the members of your band, and what do they play?
Mike Mann - Vocals
Jake Carrick - Lead Guitar, vocals
Nate Garman - rythm guitar, vocals
Darryl Arning - Bass guitar
Greg "vinny" Stevenson - Drums

When did the band get together, and how?
The Hex Bombs formed in the fall of 2006. Five friends with a love for fast, furious punk rock got together to write some fun, original music. Tired of the current music trends and large percentage of the populous treating music as disposable moved forward with fists outstretched to prove that rock'n'roll is still not only viable but is one of the most honest and passionate genres of music still being written today. Since then a colorful cast of characters have filtered through the lineup helping to create a full force sound that assaults the senses and makes fans feel that they are a part of the moment. We ARE Rock'n'Roll!!

How would you describe your music to someone?
The Hex Bombs sound is a unique brand of proletariat punk with a classic punk rock-revival attitude. Never tiring of powerful hooks and anthemic sing-along choruses, we sing about the reality of life from the perspective of hard working folks, hard truths, and broken dreams. The songs are progressive and honest with the intensity of a maelstrom.

Who are some of the bands that influence your music?
The Ramones, Dropkick Murphys, Against Me!,Bouncing Souls, Social Distortion, Hot Water Music, The Misfits, and The Street Dogs.

What other bands have your members been/are in?
We are The Hex Bombs. There is only The Hex Bombs

What other local bands would you recommend people check out?
Wow.....we've played with so many great bands over the years.....I'll try to keep this as local as possible.
Kalamazoo: Sleepeater(prog-metal-daydream?), Brass bows(indie intense), Terror! Terror! Oh My!(Full on guns blazing swank Rock),Dumpster Dive Alley(This IS Punk Rock), Mushmen (ADD-Ska-fun),Crash City Saints (Shoegaze with ballz)
Grand Rapids: Murder Party (Punk Rock-Rock'n'Roll)
The Waxies(Kiss me I'm Irish),Ten Second March (Don't play to often so see em when ya can oi)
Saginaw/Bay City: The Tosspints (gypsy irish hoolaganery)
Chicago: Bill Ura dik (cheeky ala dead milkmen boner rock), Voice of Addiction (socially motivated classic punk with a splash of new school)

Where is your favorite place to play in Grand Rapids?
Hmmmn....again not the most fair of questions. Loved Jukes but its gone. Quinn and Tutties is great but so is Mulligans. I guess we've always had fun playing in GR. I know it sounds like a politicians answer but its the truth. It's more about the bands you play with and the involvement of the crowd that really elevates a show. Either your cup is 1/2 full or its 1/2 empty ya know. Ours is always full.

Where can we catch you performing next?
currently...Supporting the Continental (East Grand Records)(Former Dropkick Murphys Rick Bartons new band)
Tuesday Sept. 25th @ Papa Petes in Kalamazoo, MI
Wednesday Sept. 26th @ The pyramid scheme, GR, MI
Thurs. Sept. 27th @ Smalls, Detroit, MI
