I love Grand Rapids and all it has to offer with local music, so I decided why not feature local bands here on wgrd.com! Todays featured Bury The Silence, they answered a few questions for me below! Check them out, and if your in a local band and want to be featured then answer the same questions and email them along with a video to Jackie@wgrd.com, I don’t just feature anyone, so don’t suck and you’ll get the Jackie stamp of approval ;) Find me on facebook too, to follow all your favorite local bands, and GRD news by clicking HERE

Band Name
BLED LIFE

Who are all the members of your band, and what do they play?
Brian Grooms- vocals, guitar
Nate Grooms- drums
Dan Nash- bass, backing vocals

When did the band get together, and how?

Nate, my brother and drummer from Fled Five, and I, singer/guitarist, approached Dan Nash of the local metal band, Dead Against, about a year ago (2011). I had jammed with Dan at previous shows and filled in with him with local band, Mo Biggsley. We initially agreed to do a 3-4 song demo. We felt that we had the potential to make great things happen. I was driven to write some hard rock music with meaning after rebounding from a recent house fire. I felt the desire to write music that was inspiring.

How would you describe your music to someone?
Hard rock with Big Meaning. You can listen to our songs and reflect on your own life and your own solutions. Why not rock out to something that is uplifting and inspiring? Life is hard and if listening to our CD takes an edge off – well then, that is what we are hoping to accomplish.

Who are some of the bands that influence your music?
Mushroomhead, Sevendust, Alter Bridge, Chevelle, Alice In Chains plus countless others.

What other bands have your members been/are in?
