Grand Rapids Rocks- And Then We Die
I love Grand Rapids and all it has to offer with local music, so I decided why not feature local bands here on wgrd.com! Today’s featured And Then We Die, they answered a few questions for me below! Check them out, and if you’re in a local band who wants to be featured fill out this form. I don’t just feature anyone, so don’t suck and you’ll get the Jackie stamp of approval 😉 Find me on facebook too, to follow all your favorite local bands, and GRD news by clicking HERE
And Then We Die
Who are all the members of your band, and what do they play?
When did the band get together, and how?
We started out in February with 2 members, Alan and Trevor. After a lot of member changes we finally got to the lineup we have now. This is Nathans second time with the band and we are happy to have him back.
How would you describe your music to someone?
It’s something I personally can put all of my emotions into and I feel that the rest of the band feels the same way too. We are all good friends and we work together to make music that we hope people can enjoy. As far as sound goes we have a post hardcore sound but honestly we are ” And Then We Die ” we are our own sound and we’ve learned to accept that we can’t always be classified into a specific genre.
Who are some of the bands that influence your music?
A Day To Remember, Thrice, Breathe Carolina, Story Of The Year, Artist Vs. Poet, Three Days Grace, Seether, Breaking Benjamin, Family Force 5
What other bands have your members been/are in?
Memories For Tomorrow, The Ghent Altarpiece, me and Alan were in a band called “Before Next Autumn” that never took off.
What other local bands would you recommend people check out?
Know Lyfe, Wilson, A Hymn to the Ancients. Seriously those bands rock so many great local bands out there.
Where is your favorite place to play in Grand Rapids?
Where can we catch you performing next?
As of right now we are writing and taking time off shows but expect to see us at Mac’s Bar, The Loft, The Clearing and hopefully The Intersection
