The Grand Rapids Griffins have won their first Calder Cup ever.  They defeated the Syracuse Crunch 5-2 in the 6th game of the 7 game series.

The game was scoreless for most of the first until the Crunch broke the silence with a goal late in the period.  The Griffins came back in the second period with two goals, one from Mitch Callahan and the other Tomas Tatar.

The Crunch came back early in the third period with a game tying goal from Andrej Sustr.  The Griffins then scored two goals giving them a 4-2 lead.  Another Griffin goal in the last minute of play made the final score 5-2, Griffins win!
